Gavin O'Carroll
Writer, On Wonderland
 

Gavin lives and works in London where, by day, he is founder of MakeMode; a web consutancy and Rememble.com ; a next-generation web-service funded by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA). By night, in his theatre life, Gavin has been involved with the National Youth Theatre since 1999, first in the scenery and props workshop, then for three years as an actor in which time he appeared in the shows; The Holyland (Pleasance: Edinburgh Festival and Lyric Studio Hammersmith in 2001), the devised show The Arbitrary Adventures of an Accidental Terrorist (Lyric Studio Hammersmith 2002), and the TV serial Watch Over Me (BBC) . Gavin worked professionally as Assistant Director on Kes at the Lyric Hammersmith (Time Out Critic's Choice) and became an NYT Associate Artist. He is a founding member of MOGJAR theatre company (Belfast) where he co-produced and performed in The Night Before Christmas by Anthony Nielsen. As a writer Gavin has developed scripts with Liff Film (London, Norway) and Explode for the NYT at the Lyric Studio Hammersmith, which he also directed. For Kandinsky at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2007, he wrote On Wonderland - his second play. He is currently developing a new play about time travel.
